Brand strategy & content delivery — for businesses that sell expertise
You can't see the woods for the trees.
We can.
You've built something proper. Clients come through referrals, word of mouth, being good at your job. But for some reason, the business has started feeling like a bit of a chore. You're busy, but you're not building. You're working in it, but you're not working on it.
That's where we come in.
The problem we solve
You've been too busy doing the work to talk about the work.
Most expertise-led businesses grow on reputation. Someone knows someone , a client passes your name on, and suddenly your business is rolling. Everything's great. Until it isn't.
Referrals dry up, or they don't cover the bills. You realise you need to compete. That's when it dawns on you: you've never had to actually explain why you're brilliant — you've just always been it.
That ain't a marketing problem. It's bigger than that. And it doesn't get fixed by churning out a load of content or hiring someone to post on LinkedIn three times a week.
It gets fixed by slowing down for a bit — just long enough to think about the actual problem and see it properly. Then, and only then, can you make all the smart moves to solve it.
How it works
We don't take briefs.
We make them.
Most consultants wait to be told what to do. We don't. We ask awkward questions, look at the whole business — not just the marketing — and tell you what we actually think. Then we work with you to fix it.
01
Diagnose first, prescribe second
We start with a strategy workshop — no assumptions, no off-the-shelf templates. Just a proper look at where you are, where you want to go, and what's in the way. We tell you what we find, even if it's not what you expected.
02
A clear plan with a clear end date
We work in focused quarterly projects — not open-ended retainers that drift and cost everyone more money. All engagements have a defined problem, a defined outcome, and a date we're done by. Then we reassess.
03
Change that doesn't break things
We're super conscious of what we ask of you and your team. It's why we want to know about operations, sales, marketing, the lot — because bottlenecks in one place will undo good work in another. Minimum disruption. Maximum impact.
For strategy, we work with you directly.
For delivery, we may bring in trusted specialists where needed — people we know, whose work we're happy to put the Bon Creative name to.
Fit
We're not for everyone.
That's the point.
We're probably for you if…
→ You run a small, established firm (roughly 5–100 people) that sells expertise — consulting, professional services, specialist knowledge
→ You're the decision maker, not a gatekeeper for one
→ Something's keeping you up at night — referrals aren't reliable enough, growth has stalled, or the business feels like it's running you
→ You've tried "just doing more content" and it hasn't made much difference
→ You want someone to tell you the truth, not what you want to hear
→ You're ready to actually commit to change — not just waffle on about it
We're probably not for you if…
× You want someone to execute a brief you've already written
× You'll bring us in, get excited, then hand responsibility off to someone who doesn't have the authority to make decisions
× You want results without being involved in the process
× You need something by next week
"Bon Creative are innovative, exciting and do their research. They've brought new views and ideas, suggesting where we can improve — without judgement."

Tessa Gough Associates is an established expert witness specialist — a trusted name with almost four decades of experience. What began as a brief to build a content strategy quickly became something bigger: a shift in target audience, a rebuild of their messaging, and eventually a full website redesign focused on user experience, expert profiles and clearer user journeys. The kind of change that doesn't often happen when you just take the brief.

Who you're actually talking to

Elliot.
Just Elliot.
Founder, Bon Creative
I'm not from the agency world. I've worked in-house, and I've spent a few years in Hong Kong and Bangkok — teaching English, then running the sales, marketing and operations of a small private kindergarten. That's where I learned that everything in a business is connected, and that a problem in one place will always show up somewhere else.
That's still how I think. When I work with you, I'm not just looking at your marketing — I'm looking at your whole business. Because fixing the wrong thing, however well you fix it, is still fixing the wrong thing.
That's exactly what I'm here for.
Most new clients come via referral, and we don't work with a loads of clients at once. We do our best work that way. But if you've landed here and it feels right, drop us a line. We'll have a nice, open chat and figure out if we're a good fit.
